Job summary

Alo in Maryland is seeking an Inventory Control Manager to lead inventory accuracy, governance, and audits in our distribution center. You will partner with Operations, Finance, Engineering, Quality, and 3PL to identify risks and execute corrective actions to protect company assets.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, 5+ years in inventory management with at least 3 years in leadership, and experience with automation, WMS, and ERP systems. Physical requirements apply.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, logistics, industrial engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of inventory management or supply chain operations experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience supporting automation and robotics environments is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Proficiency in WMS and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

  • Own inventory accuracy, inventory integrity, and inventory compliance performance for the distribution center.
  • Lead and develop the Inventory Control team while establishing a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Manage inventory governance programs including cycle counting, physical inventories, reconciliation, adjustments, and audit readiness.
  • Ensure compliance with inventory policies, SOPs, internal controls, and governance requirements.
  • Identify inventory risks, investigate discrepancies, and drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Monitor inventory health, financial exposure, and KPIs with regular reporting to leadership.
  • Partner with Ops, Finance, Systems, Engineering, Quality, and 3PL to support inventory integrity.
  • Support network initiatives, system implementations, and changes impacting inventory management.
  • Serve as site SME and escalation point for inventory-related issues and compliance.

The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for leadingall inventoryaccuracy, compliance reconciliation, audit, and governance activitieswithin the distribution center.This role serves as the site authority for inventory integrityand is accountable for maintaining accurate inventory records, executing inventory control programs, ensuring compliance with company policies, and supporting operational excellence through data-driven inventory management.

The Inventory Control Manager partners closely with Operations, Finance,Engineering, Systems, Quality, and 3PL partners to identify inventory risks, investigate discrepancies, implement corrective actions, and maintain audit readiness.

Thisposition is responsible for protecting company assetswhile ensuring inventory records accurately reflect physical inventory at all times .

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Own inventory accuracy, inventory integrity, and inventory compliance performance for the distribution center.

  • Ensure compliance with inventory policies, standard operating procedures, internal controls,and company governance requirements.
  • Identify inventory risks, investigate discrepancies, and driveroot cause analysis and corrective action initiatives to improve inventory performance.
  • Monitor inventory health, inventory accuracy, financial exposure, and key performance indicators while providing regular reporting to site and corporate leadership.
  • Partner with Operations, Finance, Systems, Engineering, Quality, and3PL partners to support inventory integrityand operational performance.
  • Support network initiatives, process improvements, system implementations, and operational changes impactinginventorymanagement.
  • Serve as the site subject matter expert and primary escalation point for inventory-related issues, risks, and compliance concerns.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, logistics,industrial engineering,orrelated fieldpreferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in inventory management or supply chain operations, with at least 3 years in aleadershiprole.
  • Experience supportingautomation and robotics environments.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory controlprocedures and best practices.
  • Proficiencyin WMS and ERP systems.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with internal teams, external partners, and suppliers.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions to optimize operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop cross-functional teams
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Able to stand and walk around for up to 12 hours at a time
