Job summary

Advastar, Inc. is seeking an Inventory Control Manager for our Southeast Kansas facility. This hands-on leadership role owns inventory accuracy, leads cycle counts, and partners with Engineering, Sales, and Accounting to meet financial and operational goals.

You will manage a small team, optimize aged and obsolescent stock, and turn it into cash while maintaining ERP as the single source of truth. This on-site role offers solid benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; higher degrees preferred.
  • 3+ years in inventory control or warehouse operations.
  • Supervisory or team-lead experience.
  • ERP experience; Microsoft Dynamics 365 a plus.
  • Strong Excel and analytical skills for reconciling data.
  • Track record of cycle count management and inventory optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Own inventory accuracy for the facility and keep ERP the single source of truth.
  • Run the site-wide cycle count program and drive down variances at the root cause.
  • Turn aged, excess, and obsolete inventory into recovered cash through disposition, transfer, or liquidation.
  • Lead and develop a small inventory team, setting the standard for counts and follow-through.
  • Partner across Engineering, Sales, and Accounting to support financial and operational goals.

Our client in Southeast Kansas is growing fast, supplying essential engineered-to-order products to billion-dollar infrastructure projects and next-generation facilities. This is a hands-on leadership seat that owns inventory accuracy for the site, runs the cycle count program, and turns aged and excess stock into recovered cash. You will lead a small team, sit at the table with Engineering, Sales, and Accounting, and have room to fix the process rather than just maintain it. Strong fit for an inventory professional who wants visible impact in a plant that is expanding.

  • Anticipated $65K–$80K annually, based on experience

OVERVIEW
