Smithfield Foods is seeking an Inventory Control Lead to support accurate inventory management and efficient warehouse operations. You will train staff, coordinate with the Inventory Control Manager, and help ensure timely, accurate stock records.

In this role, you will perform daily inventory activities, cycle counts, and batch/code corrections, while addressing inquiries from internal customers and contributing to a safe, productive work environment.

What You’ll Do

Inventory Control Leads will support the Inventory Control Manager by performing daily inventory activities and assisting with inventory accuracy throughout the facility. Leads will perform inventory adjustments, cycle counts, and batch/code corrections, while also responding to internal customer inquiries related to inventory issues. Leads will support the training and development of employees to understand inventory processes and systems. Inventory Leads must be able to work their scheduled shifts and may be required to work overtime depending on business needs.

  • Understand and follow oral and written instructions
  • Perform tasks requiring continuous/repetitive movement, including grasping, reaching, and handling materials
  • Stand and walk for extended periods of time, up to a 12-hour shift
  • Work in a warehouse environment that may include temperature changes and varying conditions
  • Operate or work around warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks
  • Work while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety shoes, gloves, or hearing protection
  • Work in a fast-paced, team-orientated environment
  • Bend, stoop, and twist throughout the course of an entire shift
  • Lift objects weighting up to 60 lobs., with or without assistance
  • This work is physically demanding and may require the use of multiple muscle groups and repetitive motion throughout the shift.
  • Some tasks may require lifting, carrying, or moving materials either manually or with mechanical assistance.
  • Additional essential functions may be applicable to specific job assignments.
