Job summary

Argen, a leading dental zirconia and alloy provider, seeks an Inventory Control Clerk I in San Diego. This role tracks and verifies incoming materials, ensures quality-tested releases, and maintains accurate records for production and internal customers.

The schedule is M-F, 8:00 pm - 4:30 pm, at 8515 Miralani Drive. Responsibilities include cycle counts, data entry into QAD, and maintaining clean, compliant inventory areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to learn from SOPs and training.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
• Familiarity with computers and various programs.

Responsibilities

• Track, review, and monitor incoming materials for production or resale.
• Ensure materials leaving the factory pass quality testing and are recorded.
• Conduct cycle counts and input results into the QAD system.
• Maintain clean and organized inventory areas and proper lot control.
• Complete daily cycle count sheets and report variances promptly.
• Release materials to internal departments per established processes.
• Fulfills internal material requests efficiently and accurately.
• Record inventory movements and address variances in the system.
• Verify accuracy of recorded transactions and reports.
• Maintain a safe work environment per regulations and LEAN practices.
• Cross-train across areas to support team objectives.

Inventory Control Clerk I

An Inventory Control Clerk I tracks, reviews, and monitors all incoming material and supplies used in production or resale products to ensure compliance to the appropriate standards. Responsible for assuring that all materials leaving the factory have passed quality testing and records are accurate and complete before releasing products to the appropriate department(s).

Schedule: M-F, 8:00 pm - 4:30 pm

The Day-to-day

• Complies with departmental standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and adheres to Argens' organizational standards.
• Conducts cycle counts and accurately inputs results into the QAD system.
• Ensures area cleanliness and proper product organization, including consolidation of items and lot numbers.
• Completes daily cycle count sheets and promptly reports any discrepancies or variances to supervisory personnel.
• Releases materials to internal departments according to established processes.
• Responds to and fulfills material requests from internal departments efficiently.
• Accurately records inventory movements and transactions in the QAD system, identifying and addressing any variances.
• Reviews and verifies the accuracy of recorded transactions.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment in alignment with safety regulations and standards.
• Cross-trains across multiple areas to enhance operational flexibility and support team objectives.
• Reports issues, concerns, or discrepancies to the Lead, Supervisor, or Manager in a timely and professional manner.

What Does It Take To Be Successful

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One plus years of experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to learn technical concepts by reading work instructions and standard operating procedures, and completing on-the-job training.
• Proven experience following instructions and accepting additional responsibilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Adherence to tight deadlines and production goals.
• Organizational skills and prioritizing multiple tasks.
• Ability to work independently with attention to detail and focus on quality.
• Familiarity working with computers and various computer programs.
