Job summary

Smart Foodservice Stores is seeking an Inventory Clerk to support warehouse logistics through accurate counts, data entry, and record-keeping. The role involves auditing inventory, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining reports across office and storage environments.

The ideal candidate has at least three years in inventory control or clerical work within a distribution center, with proficiency in MS Office, inventory databases, and basic math. PIT equipment certification is available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three years' experience in Inventory Control or clerical work in a distribution center.
• HACCP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inventory counts and audits with detailed documentation.
• Research transactions and exceptions to derive root causes and resolutions.
• Prepare and retain reports and records in printed and electronic form.
• Identify products in inventory database and check dates on products.
• Perform inventory reclass/transfer functions and reconcile related documents.
• Operate and receive training on pallet jack/stock picker equipment.
• Ensure safety, product handling, and food safety standards are followed.
