Job summary

Flowers Foods, Inc. is seeking an Inventory Control Clerk for the 2nd shift (6PM–6AM) in San Antonio, TX. You will replenish, receive, inspect, and account for materials used in the plant, and coordinate inter-company shipments as needed.

The role requires at least 1 year of shipping/receiving experience and a high school diploma. You will maintain proper storage, perform weekly inventories, and ensure compliance with safety and company policies in a fast-paced bakery environment.

Qualifications

• One year or more experience in shipping/receiving operations.
• High School diploma or equivalency.
• Demonstrated competency for on-the-job activities affecting product safety/quality.

Responsibilities

• Replenishes ingredients, wrapping and labeling supplies and miscellaneous items.
• Receives and inspects all incoming shipments for damage or unsanitary merchandise and refuses or returns such items.
• Properly stores and rotates production supplies.
• Performs inventory of supplies on a weekly basis.
• Arranges inter-company shipments of materials to other plants.
• Delivers supplies within the plant.
• Completes daily/weekly administrative paperwork.
• Keeps work area clean and organized per designated areas.
• Ensures compliance with company policies (EEO, Safety, etc.).
• Performs other duties as required by management.

Bringing Home the Dough

Responsible for replenishing, receiving, inspecting and accounting for all material used in plant. Also makes inter-company shipments when necessary. Position requires demonstration of competency for all on-the-job activities that may have a direct or indirect affect on product safety, legality and/or quality.

Rising to the Challenge: Position Responsibilities

• Properly stores and rotates production supplies.
• Performs inventory of supplies on weekly basis.
• Arranges for inter-company shipment(s) of materials to other plants.
• Delivers some supplies throughout plant.
• Completes daily/weekly administrative paperwork.
• Ensures that work area is clean and organized (like items together and in designated areas).
• Ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures (EEO, Sexual Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.)
• Performance of other duties which are deemed by management to be an integral part of the job, including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies and procedures

Knead to Know: Preferred Qualifications

One or more years experience in shipping/receiving operations.

High School diploma or equivalency

Salary Range- 22.15
