Job summary

Penske Logistics LLC in Rincon, GA is seeking an Inventory Control Clerk for full-time 2nd shift. The role pays $22 per hour with a $2 Sunday differential and $1 differential for Mon-Wed shifts, with benefit options including PTO and insurance.

You will ensure system counts match physical inventory, rotate stock, receive inventory, input data into WMS, manage unsalables, and prepare daily/weekly reports. English proficiency and use of handheld scanners are required.

  • Must have knowledge of computers and ability to learn WMS and various internal applications.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure system counts match physical inventory; resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensure proper rotation of product; analyze reports and move inventory as required.
  • Accurately receive inventory with checkers; audit inbound receipts.
  • Input required data into WMS and other applications; audit data for accuracy.
  • Manage unsalable inventory; document recalls and product dispositions.
  • Ensure signage is accurately located in the distribution center.
  • Document and train inventory procedures; assist with daily/weekly reports.

Position: Inventory Control Clerk
Work Schedule and Pay

Full time position/ 2nd shift:

  • Days- Sunday to Wednesday Pay: $22 p/h ( $2.00 shift differential on Sundays $1 Monday to Wednesdays )

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensuring system count matches physical inventory
    • Resolve discrepancies at location and pallet level
    • Look for missing product in storage locations
    • Update WMS to match physical through various methods
    • Research and document root cause
  • Ensuring proper rotation of product
    • Analyze reports to identify rotation issues
    • Ensure rotation physically moved as required
    • Research and document root cause
  • Accurately receive inventory
    • Work with checkers to ensure accurate receipt of inventory
    • Audit inbound receipts, both physically and through receipt documentations
  • Data setup and validation
    • Accurately input required data elements into WMS and various other applications
    • Audit existing data for inaccurate data
  • Manage unsalable inventory to resolution
    • Accurately document information on product recalls, including physically segregating as required.
    • Work with procurement on product expiration and product holds to final resolution
    • Accurately record dump / donate and other product dispositions
  • Ensure appropriate signage accurately located in distribution center
  • Process analysis and documentation
    • Work with inventory management to document and train inventory procedures to warehouse operation
  • Assist with daily and weekly reports
  • Assist in development and implementaton

  • Operate various material handling equipment; occasionally moving product in warehouse
  • Regular, predictable full attendance is an essential function of the job
  • Maintain excellent and professional communication with the Inventory team, Operations, and Customer on all related details and tasks.
  • Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.
