Job summary

Saputo Cheese USA Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Lead to audit pallets, manage inventory and lead a warehouse team in Caledonia, WI. The role emphasizes SAP transactions, cycle counts, order fulfillment, and cross‑functional collaboration to minimize disruptions.

You will supervise daily activities, backfill scheduling, and ensure GMP and safety standards are followed. Starting wage is $30.05 per hour plus shift differential; candidates with lead warehouse experience and SAP/WMS familiarity are

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 2-year degree preferred in supply chain/inventory control.
• Two years in a lead warehouse role in a warehouse/logistics environment.
• Strong computer skills with MS Office and inventory software (WMS, SAP a plus).

Responsibilities

• Audit pallets for accuracy and stability.
• Verify inventory quantity and location; report variances.
• Manage inventory control tasks and resolve discrepancies.
• Perform monthly cycle counts and reconcile.
• Oversee returns, investigate shortages, and respond to claims.
• Lead warehouse team; coordinate work and follow-up.

Shift: 6:00AM to 2:00PM

How You Will Make Contributions That Matter

• This position will focus heavily on auditing completed pallets for accuracy and stability.
• Perform product inventory activities by confirming physical inventory quantity and location along with reporting variances.
• Responsible for inventory control activities, including creating, assigning, and completing inventory control tasks, identifying, investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies resulting from use of exception codes.
• Complete monthly cycle counts on all inventory and locations, both physical and virtual, and perform reconciliation as needed.
• Oversee all physical customer returns, investigate customer claims related to shortages, overages or damages reported, communicate findings and provide research summary and responses to claims as directed.
• Perform warehouse team lead responsibilities, to include coordinating, assigning work activities, reporting and follow‑up.
• Assist with investigating product shortages and ensuring order fill rates are met, without warehouse‑controlled shortages.
• Create STOs (Stock Transfer Orders) to move products between warehouse locations as needed.
• Provide scheduling support to backfill vacancies to minimize department operation disruption.
• Perform all required SAP transactions, complete all required documentation.
• Collaborate, communicate and provide cross‑functional support with other departments to minimize warehouse operations disruption.
• Complete daily Powered Industrial Truck Inspection, ensuring safe operation and reporting any concerns to maintenance personnel or shift supervisor.
• Understand and follow Good Manufacturing Practices, Saputo's food safety, quality programs and regulatory requirements.
• Promptly report all potential quality, food safety, and workplace safety hazards to management team.
• Attend and participates in all required training, shift meetings and committees.
• Adhere to the Saputo code of ethics and actively apply the Saputo values.
• Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

You Are Best Suited for The Role If You Have The Following Experience, Skills, and Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent. Preferred, 2-year degree in supply chain management or inventory control management.
• Two-years in a lead warehouse role, directly in a warehouse, logistics, transportation, or distribution center environment.
• Excellent computer skills with advanced experience with word processing, spreadsheet applications and specialized inventory control software programs (WMS), SAP a plus.
• Able to operate material handling equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as customer orders, inventory reports, operating procedures to ensuredocuments are audited and accurate.
• Ability to generate reports and business correspondence.
• Ability to prioritize responsibilities and multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
• Are highly organized and efficient.
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written.
• Work together professionally in a team environment with coworkers and other department personnel.
• Must have excellent mathematical skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs.

Position Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in manufacturing environment which includes but not limited to: noise, changing temperatures (hot, wet, cold, humid), standing/walking/bending/stooping/climbing stairs, maneuvering around manufacturing equipment consistently throughout the shift.
• Physical lifting up to 40-lbs unassisted frequently throughout the shift.
• Working with chemicals, wearing personal protective equipment, and following approved chemical handling procedures.
• Good visual acuity with the ability to distinguish colors. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Fine manipulation and hand dexterity, including ability to grip and squeeze; handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), to include bump cap, hearing, and eye protection. This also include additional PPE requirements as defined for the position activities.
