Job summary

Penske Logistics is hiring an Inventory Clerk for the Grand Prairie, TX location. The role is 1st shift (Monday–Friday) with a 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM schedule or as needed for business demands.

The position pays $22.73 per hour and includes a comprehensive benefits plan for associates and their families. Responsibilities include cycle counts, audits, inventory discrepancy resolution, and operating warehouse equipment such as Reach Trucks and pallet jacks.

Qualifications

• 2 years of general office experience required.
• 1 year of customer service experience required.
• No prior general warehouse experience required, but strongly preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Complete cycle counts and audits, reconcile inventory.
• Research and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Locate misclassified inventory and correct records.
• Operate equipment as needed: Reach Truck, Double Pallet Jack, Cherry Picker.
• Maintain accuracy in documentation and data entry.
• Support supervisor with assigned tasks.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for completing cycle counts, random audits and reconciliations
• Resolve inventory problems in a timely manner
• Research and reconcile product discrepancies/variances of over/under amounts and damaged product
• Conduct searches in order to locate misclassified inventory
• Escalates issues timely and directly to supervisor
• Completes all other duties as assigned by Supervisor
• Have the ability to operate the following pieces of equipment
• Reach Truck Operator
• Double Pallet Jack
• Cherry Picker
• Physical Demands
• Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and arms to reach
• Regularly lift and/or move 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds

Qualifications:

• 2 years of general office experience required
• 1 year of customer service experience required
• No prior general warehouse experience required, but strongly preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions required
• Ability to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexible, excellent with numbers and time management skills required
• Flexible to work overtime preferred
• Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint required
• AS400 experience preferred
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening
