Job summary

Cellular Sales is seeking an Inventory Control Clerk to handle receipt, documentation, and tracking of goods in a fast-paced retail environment. You will work closely with the Inventory Manager to resolve issues and maintain accurate stock records.

This full-time position requires attention to detail, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and willingness to work Monday–Friday with some nights and weekends during launches.

Qualifications

• Written communication for documentation and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for Inventory Supervisor.
• Examine contents and compare with records to verify incoming/outgoing shipments.
• Compare invoices to received items to ensure accuracy of shipments.
• Record shipment data (weight, charges, space, damages) for reporting.
• Determine shipping method using procedures, routes, and rates.
• Deliver or route materials to departments.
• Pack, seal, label, and affix postage for shipping.
• Rectify problems such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance.
• Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies.
• Compute space, shipping, or storage requirements.
• Ensure proper stock levels in stores.
• Understand warranty/returns policy per vendor.
• Date and rotate product.
• Clean and maintain inventory closet.
• Conduct physical inventory of the closet.
• Move inventory around in the market.
• Assist with RA process.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/ObjectiveHandle the receipt, documentation, and tracking of goods. Communicate with Inventory Manager regarding issues or status of merchandise. Be flexible to support changing priorities and needs.

Essential Functions

• Provide support for Inventory Supervisor
• Examine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment.
• Compare merchandise invoices to items actually received to ensure that shipments are correct.
• Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes.
• Determine shipping method for materials, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
• Deliver or route materials to departments
• Pack, seal, label, and affix postage to prepare materials for shipping
• Confer or correspond with appropriate person(s) to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications.
• Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies
• Compute amounts, such as space available, shipping, or storage
• Ensure proper stock levels in stores
• Understand warranty/returns policy per vendor
• Date and rotate product
• Clean and maintain the inventory closet
