Job summary

Flowers Foods, Inc. in Thomasville, GA is seeking a full-time Shipping/Receiving Associate responsible for replenishing ingredients, inspecting shipments, storing and rotating supplies, and coordinating inter‑plant shipments.

You will also perform inventory, deliver materials within the plant, complete administrative paperwork, and ensure safety and policy compliance. A high school diploma and forklift/drivers license with DOT card are required; prior shipping/receiving experience preferred.

Qualifications

• One or more years experience in shipping/receiving operations.
• Minimum of 6 months experience in shipping/receiving inventory and operations.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid license to operate a forklift.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license and DOT medical wallet card to operate a box truck CMV.

Responsibilities

• Replenishes all required ingredients, wrapping and labeling supplies, and miscellaneous items.
• Receives and inspects all incoming shipments for damaged or unsanitary merchandise and refuses or returns such items.
• Properly stores and rotates production supplies.
• Performs inventory of supplies on weekly basis.
• Arranges for inter-company shipment(s) of materials to other plants.
• Delivers some supplies throughout plant.
• Completes daily/weekly administrative paperwork.
• Ensures that work area is clean and organized.
• Ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures (EEO, Sexual Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.)
• Performance of other duties deemed by management to be integral to the job.

Bringing Home the Dough

Responsible for replenishing, receiving, inspecting and accounting for all material used in plant. Also makes inter-company shipments when necessary. Position requires demonstration of competency for all on-the-job activities that may have a direct or indirect affect on product safety, legality and/or quality.

Rising to the Challenge: Position Responsibilities

Salary Range- $20.59 - $24.13 hourly
