Job summary

BD in Four Oaks, NC seeks a Warehouse Associate to maintain accurate inventory records and support daily distribution operations. You will utilize the Warehouse Management System, monitor picking accuracy, and communicate discrepancies to the Inventory Control Manager.

The role requires attention to detail and reliable teamwork. Candidates should have a High School diploma or GED and at least 1 year of relevant experience, with preference for material handling and RF equipment familiarity.

• Maintain accurate and complete files for cycle counts and inventory issues.
• Update Warehouse Management System and inform Inventory Control Manager of discrepancies.
• Monitor picking process accuracy and adjust in WMS as needed.
• Ensure timely preparation and maintenance of distribution activity records.
• Provide feedback and recommendations.
• Learn responsibilities of other positions to assist during absences or vacations.

Job Responsibilities

(Primary Duties, Roles, and/or Authorities)

• Maintain accurate and complete files for all cycle counts and inventory issues.
• Update Warehouse Management System accordingly and inform Inventory Control Manager of any discrepancies.
• Monitor the accuracy of the picking process in accordance with the highest possible levels of productivity and adjust in WMS when applicable.
• Ensure all warehouse activity records are prepared in a timely manner and accurately and effectively maintained.
• Provide feedback and recommendations.
• Become knowledgeable of the responsibilities of the other positions to assist in times of urgency, breaks, absences, or vacation.

Education and Experience

• High School diploma or GED, preferred.
• 1 year of relevant experience, required.
• Experience with material handling and radio frequency equipment, preferred.

Knowledge and Skills

• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment.
• Ability to read and interpret distribution documents.
• Basic analytical, organizational and prioritization skills.
• Proficient in the use of a PC, with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong initiative and drive for results.
• General distribution knowledge.

Work Environment

The noise level is moderate to loud. There will almost always be exposure to work near moving mechanical equipment, exposure to precarious situations and potential temperature excursions. Occasionally the position will have exposure to fumes/airborne particles.
