Characteristics that make the Inventory/Compliance Specialist successful include attention to detail, ability to multi-task and deal with frequent interruptions, good customer service skills, comfort with technology including barcode scanning, RFID tags, e-mail and online ordering applications. Another important duty of this position is the reconciling and replenishing of Emergency Code Carts in the hospital and restocking of other emergency kits used throughout the facility and at ambulatory clinics and repackaging or relabeling medications and kits into ready to use dosage forms.
