Penske Logistics is seeking an Inventory Clerk in Groveport, OH to join a safety-focused warehouse team. The position supports accurate counts, audits, and reconciliations, with a weekend 36-hour shift paid as 40 hours. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, 401K, PTO, and boot allowance after 90 days.

Strong attention to detail and Excel skills are valued. The role requires lifting up to 60 pounds, operating warehouse equipment, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

Qualifications

• 2 years of general office experience required.
• Ability to pay attention to detail and strong counting skills.
• 1 year of customer service experience required.
• No prior general warehouse experience required but strongly preferred.
• Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Responsabilités

• Complete counts, random audits, and reconciliations.
• Inspect inbound parts for quantity and quality issues.
• Stage and sort products for loading and move materials within the warehouse.
• Research and reconcile product discrepancies/variances.
• Follow all safety requirements and operate reach truck, pallet jack, and cherry picker.

Work Schedule

Friday - Sunday, 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM

Schedule is for 36 hours but associate is paid for 40

Compensation

$21.50 per hour + $1.00 shift differential = $22.50/hr

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for completing counts, random audits, and reconciliations
• Inspecting in bound parts for quantity and quality issues
• Physically and systematically placing inbound freight – at times process may deviate
• Resolve inventory problems in a timely manner
• Research and reconcile product discrepancies/variances of over/under amounts and damaged product
• Conduct searches in order to locate misclassified inventory
• Escalates issues timely and directly to supervisor
• Have the ability to operate the following pieces of equipment: Reach Truck, Pallet Jack (electrical or manual), Cherry Picker
• Picking/packing parts in a manner to ensure accuracy and prevent damage – at times process may deviate
• Accurately match numbers & letters
• Follow all safety requirements
• Stage and sort products for loading
• Opens and closes dock doors
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Sorts and places parts in racks or other designated areas
• Stacks cardboard boxes and pallets
• Move materials within the warehouse
• Scanning & counting parts
• Completes all other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and arms to reach, work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment
• Regularly lift and/or move 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds

Qualifications

• 2 years of general office experience required
• Ability to pay attention to detail
• Strong counting skills
• 1 year of customer service experience required
• No prior general warehouse experience required but strongly preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Proficient reading and counting skills and ability to follow directions as required
• Ability to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexible, excellent with numbers and time management skills required
• Flexible to work overtime preferred
• Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint required
• Able to enter orders in scanners and PC software.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening.
