Job summary

CJ Logistics America is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to join our fast-paced team in Illinois. You will organize, monitor, and maintain accurate inventory levels across multiple locations, and perform cycle counts to ensure stock integrity.

You’ll operate a Stand-Up Forklift, resolve discrepancies with the receiving and sales teams, and support inventory status management from on-hand to on-order.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Attention to detail with the ability to identify missing items.
• Tech-savvy with Microsoft Office; experience with AS400 and WMS preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues.
• Forklift experience and certification for Stand-Up forklift operations.

Responsibilities

• Master of Organization: organize, monitor, and maintain accurate inventory levels across locations.
• Cycle Count Expert: conduct regular cycle counts, audits, and reconciliations.
• Inventory Whisperer: track product movement and correct discrepancies for accuracy.
• Root Cause Detective: investigate recurring inventory issues to prevent recurrence.
• Status Savvy: manage on-hand, on-order, damaged inventory and related handling.
• Forklift Pro: operate a Stand-Up Forklift to assist with counts and stock.
• Collaborative Communicator: work with customers, receiving, and sales teams to resolve discrepancies.

• Pay Range: $21.00-$22.00 per hour
• Schedule: 1st Shift (Mon.-Fri.8:00am -4:30pm)

What You’ll Do:

• Master of Organization: Organize, monitor, and maintain accurate inventory levels across multiple locations, ensuring everything is in its rightful place.
• Cycle Count Expert: Conducted regular cycle counts, audits, and reconciliations for aisle, inbound, and outbound inventory, maintaining precise stock levels.
• Inventory Whisperer: Track and update product movement, identifying and correcting inventory discrepancies to ensure accuracy at all times.
• Root Cause Detective: Investigate recurring inventory issues and work to determine the root cause, helping prevent future discrepancies.
• Status Savvy: Properly manage inventory at varying status levels (e.g., on-hand, on-order, damaged) and ensure proper handling for each.
• Forklift Pro: Operate a Stand-Up Forklift to assist with inventory counts, stock organization, and other warehouse tasks as needed.
• Collaborative Communicator: Work alongside customers, receiving, and sales teams to resolve inventory discrepancies and ensure smooth operations.

What We’re Looking For:

• Education: A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• E-commerce experience preferred.
• Attention to Detail: You can spot a missing item from a mile away and have the patience to handle even the most minor discrepancies.
• Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel). Previous experience with AS400 and/or warehouse management systems (WMS) preferred.
• Problem-Solving Skills: You possess critical thinking skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve work-related issues effectively.
• Forklift Certified: You have experience operating a Stand-Up Forklift.
• Tackle additional tasks as they come up—if you’ve got the skills, we’ve got the challenge!
