Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking an attentive Inventory Clerk / Order Picker in Elgin, IL to support daily warehouse operations. You will accurately pick and verify orders, maintain inventory accuracy, and process transactions to ensure organized, safe storage areas.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, experience with ERP or inventory systems, and proficiency with MS Word/Excel.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; ability to read and follow written instructions and inventory documentation.
Experience using ERP, inventory management, warehouse management, or similar systems.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel; strong verbal and written communication in English.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; ability to work independently or in a team.
Experience in warehouse, inventory control, order fulfillment; handheld scanner or Infor ERP preferred.

Responsibilities

Accurately pick, verify, and prepare orders using pick lists, handheld scanners, and inventory systems.
Process inventory transactions, perform counts, and maintain accurate records.
Assist with receiving, stocking, material handling, and storage organization.
Identify discrepancies, report issues, and follow safety/quality procedures.
Support housekeeping and continuous improvement to boost efficiency and accuracy.
