Job summary

System One in Orlando is seeking an Inventory Associate I to support fulfillment operations on a 6-month contract. The role involves counting inventory, receiving shipments, packing items, and safely operating forklifts and PIT equipment on site.

You will handle data entry into inventory systems, perform quality checks, and ensure accurate receipts, labeling, and storage. The position emphasizes safety and efficiency in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in fulfillment operations, including inventory counting, receiving, and packing.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach-trucks, and electronic pallet jacks, with training if necessary.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks related to shipping and receiving.
• Strong attention to detail for inspecting shipments and conducting quality checks.
• Proficiency in data entry and navigating inventory management systems.
• Good judgment and adherence to safety procedures when operating equipment and handling materials.

Responsibilities

• Support fulfillment operations by accurately counting inventory, receiving shipments, and packing items according to standard operating procedures.
• Operate heavy equipment including PIT equipment, forklifts, reach-trucks, and turret-trucks, ensuring safety and maintenance protocols are followed.
• Unload shipments delivered by carriers and inspect packages for quality and compliance.
• Conduct quality control checks on parts and process them accordingly.
• Document receipts and work orders using inventory management tools, ensuring accurate data entry and record keeping.
• Properly package, label, and mark parts to facilitate workflow and traceability.
• Sort, stage, and store packages and crates securely to prevent loss or damage.
• Perform storage assignments and audits in accordance with standard procedures.
• Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and escalating roadblocks.
