Job summary

BrightBee LLC is seeking inventory associates to manage forklift-based warehouse tasks and assemble meal orders for local schools in a climate-controlled facility. The role offers 2–5 days per week with after-school shifts (12pm-8:30pm) and assignments that can convert to long-term opportunities.

You will safely operate forklifts and other equipment, verify incoming shipments, and coordinate with kitchen and logistics teams to meet production deadlines while maintaining strong safety practices.

Qualifications

• Forklift experience is required.
• Experience in warehouse operations, order picking, or food preparation is a plus.
• Able to work in cold storage environments (30–35°F) for full shifts, stand for long periods, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Strong attention to detail, basic computer/inventory tracking skills, and the ability to work quickly in a fast-paced setting.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow written and verbal English instructions.

• Assemble-pack meals and crates in a cold, high-speed production area according to schedules.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and warehouse machinery to move stock, support loading/unloading, and maintain a clean, organized work area.


• Accurately assembly-pack meals, food items, and crates in a high-speed, cold-storage environment (30–35°F) according to daily production schedules.


• Receive, inspect, and organize incoming dry, refrigerated, and frozen shipments against purchase orders; stage ingredients and packaging for daily production.


• Partner with kitchen, warehouse, and logistics teams to meet tight production deadlines and assist with end-of-shift cleanup.

Basic Requirements

• Demonstrated experience operating a forklift required.


• Prior experience in warehouse operations, order picking, or food preparation


• Comfortable working full shifts in cold storage environments (30–35°F); able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.


• Strong attention to detail, basic computer/inventory tracking skills, and the ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced setting.


• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow written and verbal instructions in English


• Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus

• Pass a background check


• Follow safety and reporting guidelines


• Complete required school clearances which you are responsible for paying.




• Costs associated with the clearance process are the sole responsibility of the candidate, as this engagement is for an independent contractor role rather than a traditional employment position. Requirements vary by state but may include the cost of a background check, obtaining a copy of any college transcript you have, and the cost of completing Mandated Reporter training. The average cost of completing clearance in California for this role is between $123-214.
