Job description

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.

ABOUT THE TEAM

The Rocket Motor Systems (RMS) team at Anduril designs and manufactures solid rocket motors and propulsion systems for the next generation of missiles and munitions. RMS runs a vertically integrated energetics operation - from propellant chemistry and mixing through case fabrication, assembly, and test. We move fast in a highly regulated, safety-critical environment, and we depend on accurate, real-time inventory to keep production lines building.

ABOUT THE JOB

The Inventory Analyst is responsible for managing and optimizing inventory levels to support production schedules while minimizing the costs of scrap, excess and obsolescence. This role will oversee the health of inventory across materials, quality, and production - including energetic and shelf-life-sensitive chemicals unique to a rocket motor environment. The candidate will analyze usage trends, lead cycle counting programs, monitor variances and resolve discrepancies to ensure inventory integrity in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Oversee electronic cycle counts and physical audits to maintain near-perfect record accuracy.
  • Investigate root causes of inventory variances and implement corrective actions in our ERP and WMS systems.
  • Monitor shelf-life-sensitive materials and ensure compliance with safety and quality storage regulations via the AS9100 Quality Management System.
  • Generate KPI reports and visual dashboards to track inventory health, aging stock, and transaction records.
  • Collaborate with other manufacturing stakeholders to support operational continuity and efficient forecasting and planning.
  • Track shelf-life and expiration on energetic and hazardous materials - ammonium perchlorate (AP), propellant chemicals, and controlled CHM-coded consumables - and flag lots approaching removal, repack, or retest dates before they impact the line.
  • Reconcile physical counts to the system of record (Odoo/Oracle), measure count accuracy against the fiscal-year target, and drive root-cause corrections on adjustments.
  • Analyze consumption trends and clear-to-build coverage against active work orders to surface shortages and long-lead risk before they block production.
  • Monitor MRB and quarantine aging, dormant and dead stock, and warehouse capacity utilization, and recommend disposition or consolidation.
  • Validate inventory striped to the correct project and task charge codes, and flag material at risk from expired project dates.
  • Build and maintain self-service dashboards and reports that give production, quality, and program teams a live view of inventory health.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Data Science or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Typically 3-5+ years in inventory control within an aerospace or high-tech manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in Oracle and Odoo (highly preferred), advanced Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs), and potentially SQL for data mining.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 standards and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) regulations for the management of government property.
  • Experience managing parts with unique serial numbers or traceability requirements, where a single error can halt production.
  • Experience identifying inefficiencies in material flow and driving Lean or Six Sigma initiatives to improve them.
  • Comfort handling data on hazardous or energetic materials with strict segregation, storage, and shelf-life requirements. Familiarity with hazmat or magazine storage is a plus.
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in a defense, aerospace, propulsion, or energetics manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience building dashboards or reports from ERP data (Odoo, Oracle) or a BI/analytics platform.
  • Familiarity with Oracle project and task charge structures and inventory project striping.
  • Track record of improving inventory KPIs - count accuracy, aging, putaway lead time, capacity utilization, on-time kitting.
