Job Purpose

The Inventory Analyst plays a key role in maintaining accurate and reliable inventory records for both raw materials and finished goods by performing regular cycle counts, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring timely updates to support efficient operations and system integrity.

The role supports various warehouse operations and upholds compliance with inventory procedures and internal controls, maintaining the accuracy of inventory records and product flow.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain accurate end-to-end inventory records at the Coopersville Plant and 3PL locations using various warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP software
  • Conduct regular cycle counts (daily, weekly, and monthly), physical inventory audits according to cycle count program requirements, and completes daily inventory analysis to solve inventory issues quickly, such as locating and systemically processing inventory.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory variances between physical counts and system inventories, working cross-functionally with warehouse receiving, material planning, and plant finance teams
  • Collaborates with plant finance team to ensure inventory control program is compliant with company cycle program requirements and recommend improvements to address compliance gaps
  • Identify slow-moving, obsolete, deviated/on-hold, or excess inventory and coordinate with QA and plant finance to recommend timely disposition strategies
  • Assist in the development and enforcement of inventory control procedures and best practices with warehouse, packaging, and processing teams
  • Support thegrowthof the inventory team by collaborating on training materials and training inventory administration, warehouse personnel, and packaging/processing departments
  • Partner with inventory administration teamontheinventory posting process by manually transacting raw materials through each stage of production within ERP systems, ensuring accurate and timely conversion of raw materials to finished goods and maintaining accurate end-to-end inventory
  • Participate in system improvements, WMS upgrades, and process automation initiatives, often serving as SME and supporting upskillingof personnel
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management representatives
Skills / Qualifications Required
  • 2+ years of experience in inventory control, warehousing, or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a data-driven mindset.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills; able to collaborate across functions.
  • High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and process discipline. Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and inventory systems (WMS, ERP such as D365; SQL preferred).
  • Self-starter with the ability to execute against broad direction with minimal supervision.
  • Working knowledge of materials management and inventory control best practices.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
  • Regularlysitting/standing/walking
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis as needed by physical count process
  • Occasionally pushes/pulls filled bags when re-stacking a pallet.
  • Bends, stoops and squats occasionally throughout the workday for varying lengths of time.
  • Occasionally slight twisting and turning at the waist when sampling powder, or when re-stacking pallets.
  • Steps on and off the industrial truck.
  • Frequent use of the hands and fingers is required.
  • Exposure to forklifts/MHE and other manufacturing/processing equipment
  • Willing to work within ambient (non-air conditioned) and cooler conditions
Food Safety Requirements
  • Notify supervision of any repairs or adjustments that are required that may affect product quality or food safety.
  • Understand, observe, and comply with the handling and usage of the color-coded container policy while in the Production Areas.
  • Perform all duties necessary to meet Company, Customer and/or Government requirements/standards as prioritized by the Company.
  • Ability to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the product, processes, quality system, or safety system.
  • Identify and record any problems relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the ingredients, processes, quality system, or safety system.
  • Control further processing or delivery of nonconformingproductin terms of Food Safety and Quality issues until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
  • In the event of absence, another employee with the same skill level will assume the duties and responsibilities as required.

*Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.

Base pay range: $60,000 — $70,000 USD
