Job summary

Michaels Stores is seeking an Allocations Analyst in Irving, TX to ensure optimal product flow and allocation to stores. The role partners with merchandise tracking, DCs, and store teams to implement strategies for effective shelf placement and sales optimization.

The analyst will review sales trends, support wave planning, and align allocation methods with merchandise strategy for seasonal items, campaigns, and region-specific programs.

Qualifications

• BS in Retail, Business, or related Field.
• 1–3 years retail experience preferred.
• Applicants in the U.S. must satisfy federal, state, and local legal requirements of the job.

Responsibilities

• Analyze historical sales to develop allocation criteria and strategies.
• Review sales data weekly with buyer team to optimize allocations.
• Coordinate with DCs, stores, and merchandising to adjust allocations and wave plans.
• Allocate purchase orders and manage store-level allocations including seasonal assets and trends.
• Support new store openings and relocation stores with timely product availability.
• Participate in weekly Buyer Team meetings and store visits for alignment.
