Job summary

Dollar Tree in Chesapeake, VA is seeking an Allocation Analyst to optimize merchandise deployment from distribution centers to stores, balancing inventory across 700–1,000 SKUs and driving service levels and sales.

Key duties include weekly replenishment, analytics-driven event planning, and collaboration with Merchants, Assortment and Financial Planners. Strong Excel/Office skills and JDA Allocations experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university or an associate’s degree with additional experience/training preferred.
• Experience: One to three years of retail store experience and/or merchandise allocation experience desirable.
• Job Related Skills: Ability to prioritize and organize workload, possess strong problem-solving skills, capable of meeting stringent deadlines, and possess effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory deployment strategy for 700–1,000 SKUs with $110–$150M annual sales.
• Split purchase orders to DCs to maximize store service levels and balance inventory across DCs and locations.
• Allocate and replenish items weekly per department strategy and merchant vision.
• Analyze sales history to support event quantities by location and ensure timely SKU allocation for events/ads.
• Collaborate with Merchant, Assortment Planner, and Financial Planner to align allocations with sales/turn goals.
• Communicate trends to other departments and participate in weekly category performance reviews.
• Monitor seasonal inventory in DCs to ensure timely releases.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
