Job summary

Atlantic Health in Morristown, TN is seeking an individual to assist during cardiac catheterization procedures, ensuring patient comfort and monitoring hemodynamic data. The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma and BLS certification, along with experience in invasive cardiac procedures.

Job description

Job Description

• Prepares procedure room and scrubs/assists MD during cardiac catheterization and interventions including stent placements, balloon angioplasties, heart valve replacements, and/or EP procedures
• Prepares and drapes patients, responds to their questions and concerns, and ensures patient comfort
• Enters patient, procedure, and equipment details in the system
• Retrieves imaging and other pertinent data and necessary calculations for physician interpretation of results
• Monitors patient hemodynamic status during the procedure (electrocardiogram, blood pressure, chest pain), balances, calibrates, and records appropriate hemodynamic data, and intervenes in cardiopulmonary emergencies
• Operates equipment reliably, per departmental standards, complying with all safety guidelines and policies
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Professional Certification (BLS)
• RCIS/RCES (within one year of hire with completion of an accredited CVT program) or Licensed RT (ARRT certification) with invasive experience

Preferred

• Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in health science or related field
• ACLS certification
