Job summary

Everforth Apex Systems is seeking an IT Security Specialist III to join an enterprise network security team onsite in Denver, CO, Addison, TX, or Charlotte, NC. The role focuses on developing and implementing custom alerts, monitoring controls, and leading threat assessments to mitigate security risks.

You will analyze web application logs, perform data correlation, and collaborate with senior leaders to triage security events while supporting audit and risk initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience with web applications and intrusion analysis.
• Ability to identify and interpret web and application logs from a security perspective.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement custom alerts and monitoring controls to detect and mitigate threats.
• Assess new threat vectors and design and implement effective controls.
• Leverage advanced investigative skills using data correlation and log analysis.
• Partner with senior leaders from business organizations to triage security events.
• Report on impacting security initiatives.
• Develop and implement processes or controls in support of audit and risk requirements.
• Use new intelligence to update existing controls to detect new threats.
• Handle active security events and current threats, including on-call rotations.
