Job summary

Planet Works, Inc. seeks an Intrusion Analyst to monitor and analyze targeted communications metadata, identify threats, and report intelligence gained from metadata analysis on DoD networks.

The ideal candidate holds an active TS clearance with a polygraph, DoD 8570 certifications, and a degree in a relevant field; JCAC completion may offset degree requirements. Experience with mitigation of malicious activity is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus eight years of relevant experience.
• Active TS clearance with polygraph and DoD 8570 certifications are required.
• Degree in a related technical field or JCAC may offset formal degree requirements.

Responsibilities

• Analyze metadata collected from tasked communications systems to identify, locate, and track targets, and to report intelligence gained from metadata analysis.
• Target digital network data to discover, analyze, and document malicious or unauthorized activity using SIGINT and CNDS resources.
• Categorize network traffic as benign, suspicious, or malicious and document TTPs, developing mitigation strategies.
• Develop and implement mitigation strategies.

• AMOD tools experience.
• One of the following DoD 8570 certifications are required (CISSP, CEH, Sec+, Net+, GIAC, GREM, CREA).
• A bachelor’s degree plus eight (8) years of relevant experience.
• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Additional work experience or completion of JCAC (Joint Cyber Analysis Course) may be utilized to offset a lack of a degree.

The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following skills:

• A bachelor’s degree plus eight (8) years of relevant experience.

• Analyze metadata collected from tasked communications systems to identify, locate, and track targets, and to accurately report the intelligence gained from metadata analysis.
• Target digital network data to discover, analyze, and document malicious or unauthorized activity using information collected from a variety of SIGINT and computer network defense resources.
• Categorize network traffic as benign, suspicious, or malicious activity and document malicious tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), and develop mitigation strategies to protect our systems.
• Develop and implement mitigation strategies.
