McKenzie Health in North Dakota seeks an Interoperative Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct, individualized perioperative care during the intraoperative phase. The RN collaborates with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR staff to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
Education: ASN required; BSN/MSN preferred. Experience: 2+ years perioperative. Licenses/certs: active ND RN license; BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications; CNOR preferred.
The interoperative Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct and individualized nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. This role is responsible for ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes during the intraoperative phase of perioperative care. The RN collaborates with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and other members of the OR team to deliver high quality, evidence-based care.
Education and Experience:
Must successfully pass background checks and drug screen.
Demonstrate ability to immediately recognize and institute treatment for the following emergency/life threatening situations: cardiac arrhythmias, cardiac arrest, airway obstruction, respiratory arrest, hemorrhage, vagal response, syncope, shock, toxic overdose of local anesthesia, hypertension, hypotension, and malignant hyperthermia.
Must be able to communicate effectively and collaborate compatibly with all physicians.
