Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology.
• Registered Technologist credentialed by ARRT in good standing.
• Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist.
• BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Scrub in and perform vascular, interventional and surgical procedures per protocol.
• Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment and exams for cooperation.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during and after exams.
• Understand indications and contraindications of contrast and drugs used in IR.
• Record injection data, elapsed fluoroscopic time and procedural information.
• Monitor equipment, maintain cleanliness and coordinate timely repairs.
• Learn new information through periodic in-service programs and sessions.

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology

Registered Technologist (ARRT) in good standing

Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or Red Cross)
