Cleveland Clinic is seeking an Interventional Vascular Technologist at our Main Campus in Cleveland, OH. You will collaborate with Vascular Surgeons and a skilled team to support minimally invasive vascular procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology.
• Registered Technologist credentialed by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Scrub in and perform vascular, interventional, and surgical procedures per protocol.
• Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during and after exams.
• Demonstrate understanding of drugs used in IR, indications, contraindications, and interactions.
• Record and maintain procedural data (injection data, fluoroscopic time, etc.).
• Monitor equipment and assist with repairs as needed.
• Learn new techniques through in-service programs and professional sessions.

The Interventional Vascular Technologist collaborates closely with Vascular Surgeons and an experienced interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care during minimally invasive vascular procedures. This is an exciting opportunity for an X-ray Technologist who enjoys working in a dynamic setting were clinical expertise, critical thinking, adaptability, and teamwork are valued.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong communication skills, including effective closed-loop communication, and is committed to delivering safe, high-quality patient care. Prior interventional vascular experience is preferred, but we welcome motivated new graduates who are eager to learn and grow.

A caregiver in this position works days + calls, from 6:30am-2:30pm.

• Utilize sterile or aseptic technique to scrub in and perform vascular, interventional, and surgical procedures per protocol.
• Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
• Ensure patients safety and comfort during and after exams.
• Demonstrate understanding of primary purpose of drugs used in IR, indications, contraindications, contrast drug interactions and major effects.
• Record and maintain procedural data to include injection data, elapsed fluoroscopic time and procedural information.
• Monitor equipment, systems, clean equipment, and effects timely repair.
• Learn new technical information and skills through attendance of periodic in-service programs and participation in professional affiliation sessions.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology
• Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and in good standing
• Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist
• Certification in Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiography: R.T.(R)(CV)(ARRT) or Vascular-Interventional Radiology: R.T.(R)(VI)(ARRT)
• Prior CT (Computed Tomography) experience
• Comfortable interpreting cross-sectional anatomy during procedures

Physical Requirements:

• Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $34.50

Maximum hourly: $51.00
