Henry Ford Health is seeking a Radiology Technologist at the Rochester Hospital location to support diagnostic imaging procedures and patient care. The role includes patient preparation, positioning, contrast administration, and collaboration with radiology staff to ensure high-quality imaging outcomes.

The candidate should have a High School diploma or equivalent, with appropriate experience or an Associate's/Technical degree, and relevant certifications such as BLS.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience.
• Associate's degree or technical degree preferred or 4 years of related experience to qualify.
• Licensure/Certification requirements noted below must be met by hire date.

Responsibilities

• Assist with procedures and provide diagnostic aid by conducting organ or body scans on patients.
• Prepare and position patients and select appropriate anatomic and technical parameters.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within scope and regulations.
• Observe patients during procedures and report any abnormal activity.
• Monitor protocols and recommend updates or refinements as warranted.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
• Perform imaging procedures including angio, vascular and interventional tasks as needed, assisting Radiologist/PA.
• Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.

Job Description

Location: Henry Ford Rochester Hospital, 1101 W University Drive Rochester, MI 48307

Schedule: Contingent- Rotating- Hours will vary per week dpendent on department needs

General Summary

• Assist with procedures and provide diagnostic aid by conducting organ or body scans on patients.
• Prepare and position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Observe patient during procedure and report abnormal activity.
• Monitor protocols and recommend updates or refinements as warranted.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
• Able to perform all specialized imaging procedures such as angio, complex vascular and nonvascular interventional and therapeutic procedures, along with assisting the Radiologist/PA.
• Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.

Qualifications

Education/Experience Required

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Certification/Licences Required

• BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. American Red Cross (ARC) CPR for Professional Rescuers card will be accepted upon hire but renewal must be a BLS Provider card from AHA.
• One or more of the following required:
  • Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) preferred.
