Job summary
Valley Health System in Paramus, NJ is seeking an Interventional RN Fellow, a registered nurse placed directly into Interventional Services and enrolled in a nine-month fellowship to prepare for independent practice in cath lab, EP lab, or neurovascular interventional lab.
The program blends didactic education, simulation, hands-on clinical preceptorship, and mentorship to develop expertise for caring for patients undergoing complex cardiac, electrophysiology, neurovascular, and peripheral
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.
- Current/valid State of New Jersey RN license required.
- BLS certification required.
- ACLS certification required within fellowship timeframe.
- Completion of all Fellowship Program educational requirements.
- Minimum two years of acute care nursing experience required.
- Interest in specialty procedural nursing practice.
Responsibilities
- Develop clinical expertise for independent practice in interventional labs.
- Participate in didactic education, simulation, and mentorship.
- Provide care for patients undergoing cardiac, EP, neurovascular, and peripheral procedures.
- Progress through pathway toward call readiness as an Interventional RN.
