Job summary

City of Hope is seeking a Special Procedures Technologist for Interventional Radiology to support radiologists and physicians in invasive and interventional procedures. You will operate advanced angiographic imaging equipment and maintain sterile technique to ensure safe patient care.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent; experience may substitute for minimum education requirements.
• 2 years in Diagnostic radiology.
• AMA approved school of Diagnostic Radiologic Technology.
• CRT (Radiography and Fluoroscopy).
• ARRT.
• CPR.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic procedures, both general and within designated specialties.
• Prepare room and equipment for patient.
• Assist radiologist, cardiologist, and/or clinician during radiologic procedures, including invasive and non-invasive studies.
• Prepare reagents following standard formulas and procedures.
• Observe patient for any unusual reactions or events, before, during and after procedure; take appropriate action following guidelines.
• Evaluate exam for technical quality and completeness and submit for review via PACS.
• Prepare the patient, explain the procedure, and ensure their cooperation during the examination.
