Job summary

Intermountain Health’s Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge, CO is seeking an Angio/Interventional Technologist to perform diagnostic and interventional imaging, scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring. A supervising RN supports sedation procedures, and opportunities exist for growth and certification.

The role requires strong anatomy knowledge, ARRT/VIR certification, and BLS/ACLS/PALS as specified. A competitive hourly pay range is posted with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Angio I: 1 year Angio/Interventional experience or VIR certification.
• BLS required on hire; ACLS within 120 days.
• PALS required for pediatric hospitals within 120 days.

Responsibilities

• Meets requirements and demonstrates proficiency in scrubbing and circulating procedures.
• Coordinates patient care and communicates with other care providers before and after procedures.
• Performs advanced interventional procedures including ablation, stents, thrombectomy, embolization, and atherectomy.
• Participates in orientation and training of new angio staff.
• Provides teaching, coaching, and mentoring as directed by the unit coordinator/preceptor.
• Operates IR equipment and related information systems to ensure quality images.
• Demonstrates understanding of anatomy, pathology, and patient positioning for procedures.
• Adheres to on-call expectations with minimum response times for stroke centers.
