Job summary

Hialeah Hospital in Florida seeks a skilled radiology professional with interventional experience to perform diagnostic exams across ER, OR, and portable settings. You will work with radiologists, follow safety protocols, and utilize PACS and RIS daily.

The candidate should have ARRT credentials, interventional certification as a plus, and be able to work on-call with flexible scheduling in a high-volume hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of all radiological interventional procedures and equipment.
• Ability to perform ER, OR, and portable exams.
• Proficient with PACS and hospital RIS.
• Schedule flexibility and on-call.

Responsibilities

• Perform all diagnostic radiology exams including ER, OR, and portable imaging.
• Access and utilize PACS and hospital radiology information systems.
• Maintain safety protocols and wear lead apron as required.
• Coordinate with Radiologist and Nurse Manager of Special Procedures.

Position Summary

Must have knowledge of all Radiological interventional procedures, catheters, wires, stents, and equipment. Performs all diagnostic examinations including ER, OR, and portable examinations. Technical skills may include advance computer knowledge used in obtaining diagnostic images. Ability to work extended periods standing wearing a lead apron. Good communication and professional ethics are essential. Ability to handle stress and maintain professionalism. Reports and communicates to Nurse Manager of Special Procedures. Medical decisions are directed from the Radiologist and Neurointerventionlist. Trained for and skilled to perform exams on patients of all ages. Access and utilize the hospital and radiology information systems including PACS. Schedule flexibility and on-call.

Position Qualifications:

• A.R.R.T. approved program (2 years) preferred


• Cardiovascular-Interventional Certification preferred


• Cardiovascular Credentialing International Certification preferred


• Hospital Radiology experience preferred


• College A.S. Degree preferred

Required Licenses/Certifications:

• Certified Radiologic Technologist in the State of Florida OR


• A.R.R.T Certified OR


• Cardiovascular Credentialing International Certified

BLS required from American Heart Association.
