Job summary

Cleveland Clinic's Main Campus is seeking an Interventional Vascular Technologist to assist with diagnostic and interventional procedures, acquire and process high-quality images, and ensure accuracy and clarity for patient care. You will gain substantial experience and access to ongoing learning resources within a leading academic medical center.

You will work 4-10 hour shifts from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with rotating every other weekend requirements, and you may participate in training,

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology.
• Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and in good standing.
• Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist.
• Basic Life Support through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross certification.

Responsibilities

• Utilize sterile or aseptic techniques to scrub in and perform vascular, interventional, and surgical procedures per protocol.
• Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
• Ensure patients safety and comfort during and after exams.
• Demonstrate understanding of primary purpose of drugs used in IR, indications, contraindications, contrast drug interactions and major effects.
• Record and maintain procedural data to include injection data, elapsed fluoroscopic time and procedural information.
• Monitor equipment, systems, clean equipment, and effects timely repair.
• Learn new technical information and skills through attendance of periodic in‑service programs and participation in professional affiliation sessions.
• Provide training, supervision, mentoring, and evaluation support for new hires, students, and other clinical learners as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology

ARRT-Registered Radiologic Technologist in good standing

Current state licensure as Radiology Technologist

Basic Life Support (AHA/Red Cross) certification

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology.


• Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and in good standing


• Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist


• Basic Life Support through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross certification


• Knowledgeable of sterile technique with ability to create and maintain sterile environment

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist


• Certification in Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiography: R.T.(R)(CV)(ARRT) or Vascular-Interventional Radiology: R.T.(R)(VI)(ARRT)


• Previous experience in high volume angiography department


• Knowledge of radiologic physics and computerized vascular equipment to safely inject and image human vascular anatomy


• Knowledge of vascular anatomy and pathology sufficient to apply to interventional and diagnostic exams

Physical Requirements

• Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.


• Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily.

Personal Protective Equipment

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $34.50

Maximum hourly: $51.00
