Job summary

i-Health is seeking an Interventional Radiologic Technologist to circulate and scrub during IR procedures, teach patients, and assist with care. The role can be 0.8 FTE (4 days) or 1.0 FTE (5 days) based on preference, primarily at the Edina location with some duties at Woodbury.

ARRT-certified technologists with RT(VI)/RT(CV)/RT(CT) preference, cross-training welcome; BLS required, ACLS preferred; sign-on bonus of $5,000 offered with a 12-month commitment.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an ARRT-approved Radiologic Technology Program.
  • RT(VI), RT(CV), or RT(CT) preferred; cross-training encouraged.
  • Experience as an interventional technologist preferred; BLS required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Circulate and scrub during procedures with emphasis on patient care.
  • Operate radiologic equipment safely and troubleshoot as needed.
  • Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Support data collection and quality indicators for accreditation.

*$5,000 SIGN-ON BONUS OPPORTUNITY**

The Interventional Radiologic Technologist is responsible for circulating and scrubbing roles during procedures, patient teaching and assisting with patient care.

This position can be either a 4 day per week (0.8 FTE, part-time) or a 5 day per week (1.0 FTE, full-time) role, based on candidate preference. The position is focused to our Edina location with need to work out of our Woodbury location.

Vascular & Interventional Experts is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices, owned and led by its physicians, on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare.

Interventional Radiologic Technologist Essential Job Functions:
  • Demonstrates an expert knowledge of radiological equipment & safety, shielding techniques, expert imaging skills and equipment trouble-shooting skills, analyzing and recording equipment and other equipment utilized in the IR department.
  • Circulate and scrub during procedures, patient teaching, assisting with patient care within scope of practice and inventory management.
  • Able to identify adverse events or unanticipated outcomes using critical thinking skills and notifies the medical staff including nurses and physicians appropriately
  • Practice Radiation Safety in accordance with regulations. Selects accurate technical factors on an individual patient basis
  • Applies knowledge of radiation physics and safety regulations to limit radiation exposure
  • Assist VIE Provider with accurate data collection, documentation, and data entry for compliance
  • Maintain documentation and records, staff competencies, monitors and performs all relevant technical quality indicators as required by accreditation standards
  • Perform specialty equipment troubleshooting, repair and maintenance as indicated or instructed by vendor or clinical engineering
  • Analyzes and assists in resolving problems resulting in improvement of patient care, practice, and system operations.
  • Initiate process improvement projects which improve clinical practice, patient outcomes and delivery of patient-family centered care at VIE
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:
  • Graduate of an ARRT-approved Radiologic Technology Program
  • RT(VI), RT(CV), or RT(CT) preferred. Willing to cross-train
  • Experience as an interventional technologist preferred
  • BLS required; ACLS preferred
Interventional Radiologic Technologist Benefits & Compensation:
  • Actual starting pay will vary based on education, skills, and experience.
  • A $5,000.00 sign-on bonus will be offered, with a 12-month commitment. Internal applicants are not eligible for the sign-on bonus.

Working Conditions:
  • Ability to work independently at least 90% of the time.
  • Frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequently push/pull patients up to 50 pounds, or patients in wheelchairs weighing up to 300 pounds.
  • Frequently stand, walk, bend, and move continuously throughout the shift.
  • Visual acuity to read electronic and paper documents.
  • Auditory ability to participate in phone or video calls clearly.
  • Manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment (e.g., computer, phone, printer).
Interventional Radiologic Technologist Essential Requirements:
