Spokane Urology in Spokane Valley, WA is launching the Advanced Radiation and Imaging Center of Spokane, a state‑of‑the‑art facility opening January 11, 2027. We are seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist to join the founding clinical team delivering advanced imaging and interventional procedures.

This full‑time role offers a ground‑floor opportunity with Monday–Friday scheduling, no regular weekends, comprehensive onboarding starting in late Fall 2026, and a collaborative work

Qualifications

Associate degree in radiography required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
Active ARRT certification (R) required; WA state license required.
Current BLS certification required (ACLS preferred).
1–2 years interventional radiology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform complex interventional radiologic procedures and assist physicians with fluoroscopic and image-guided interventions.
Ensure radiation safety, proper patient positioning, shielding, and equipment calibration.
Operate imaging technology and post-processing systems to generate diagnostic records.
Provide compassionate patient care and maintain HIPAA compliance throughout procedures.

Pay Range: $40.00 – $57.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Anticipated Training Start Date: October / November 2026

Key Responsibilities

Interventional Procedures: Perform complex interventional radiologic procedures and directly assist physicians with fluoroscopic and image-guided interventions.
Safety & Quality Control: Ensure optimal patient positioning, radiation safety, shielding protocols, equipment calibrations, and sterile field practices.
Advanced Imaging: Operate modern imaging technology and post-processing systems to generate high-quality diagnostic records.
Patient Care & Compliance: Provide compassionate patient care, support comfort and safety throughout procedural steps, and maintain strict HIPAA compliance.

Position Qualifications

Education: Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology required (Bachelor’s Degree preferred).
Certifications & Licensure:
- Active ARRT (R) certification required; ARRT (VI) or (CI) credential preferred.
- Active Washington State Radiologic Technologist license required.
- Current BLS certification required (ACLS preferred).
Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of hands‑on Interventional Radiology experience preferred.

GENERAL SUMMARY

The Interventional Radiology Technologist assists physicians in interventional procedures and provides diagnostic aid by conducting organ or body scans on patients. Performs radiographic procedures and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by, or at the request of, a licensed practitioner.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION/COMPETENCIES

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Collaborate on patient medical issues with the physician to determine protocol and procedure.
Obtain and record patient identification, medical history, or test results.
Administers and records isotope dosage in accordance with established departmental protocol.
Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.
Perform medical care as needed, such as administering oxygen, taking vital signs and giving emergency treatments.
Maintains patient confidentiality.
Maintain, clean and report any issues with equipment.
Administers appropriate high quality, patient-focused health care.
Operates imaging equipment and other ancillary equipment properly and safely.
Practices correct radiation protection, shielding and collimating, and proper exposure factors on each patient.
Completes exams in timely and efficient manner and evaluates each film for acceptable technical quality.
Accurately, efficiently, and completely documents all clinical patient care data.
Participates in department quality improvement activities, staff educational programs, attends departmental meetings, and demonstrates and maintains clinical competency in the delivery of patient care services in accordance with Company guidelines.
Performs other position related duties as assigned.

This will include and not be limited to following the Solaris Health Code of Conduct and all Solaris Health and Affiliated Practice policies and procedures; maintaining the confidentiality of patients' protected health information in compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA); immediately reporting any suspected concerns and/or violations to a supervisor and/or the Compliance Department; and the timely completion the Annual Compliance Training.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSURES OR REGISTRY REQUIREMENTS

License and certification as required by state.
Valid ARRT Certification in Radiography.
BLS certification required, ACLS preferred.

KNOWLEDGE | SKILLS | ABILITIES

Knowledge of routine to complex Radiologic procedures and protocols.
Knowledge in healthcare systems operations such as EMR.
Knowledge of medical terminology, healthcare coding systems, and clinics functions.
Knowledge of governmental regulations and compliance requirements.
Ability to provide documentation accurately and concisely.
Demonstrates understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, radiopharmacology, and medical terminology.
Ability to assist patients for transfer from stretcher, wheelchair or in an emergency situation.
Critical thinking skills and ability to make decisive judgment.
Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to provide compassionate care to patients and family.
Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness with ability to monitor own work to ensure quality.
