Position Details

Title: Interventional Radiology Technologist, IR Rad Tech
Status: Full-Time
Shift: Evening - Monday to Friday, 11:00 am - 7:30 pm (Training: M-F, 6:30 am - 3:00 pm)
On Call: Weekday and Weekend Rotation, approximately 6-8 shifts per month
Setting: Hospital/OR
Location: Baylor Heart Hospital - Plano

Job Summary

The Interventional Radiology Technologist, under general supervision of a Radiologist, performs IR procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients for diagnosis of disease and injury, following established protocols.

Essential Functions

• Perform high-quality IR procedures according to exam protocol in a timely manner.
• Maintain imaging quality and adhere to safety, infection control, and radiation policies.
• Communicate effectively with patients using AIDET principles, explaining procedures and ensuring patient comfort.
• Prepare patients and the procedure area, position patients, and operate equipment appropriately.
• Ensure safety by following protocols, maintaining equipment, and keeping the work environment clean.
• Obtain and verify all relevant documentation and maintain accurate medical imaging records.
