Job summary

Alameda Health System in Oakland, CA, is seeking a Clinical Nurse II - Invasive Specialist to assist radiologists and cardiologists in the Interventional Radiology/Cardiac Catheterization Lab. The role involves invasive procedures, data management, and patient monitoring in a fast-paced environment.

Requires BSN (or higher) and three years of recent IR experience, plus ACLS/BLS, CA RN license, RCIS eligibility within two years. Occasional on-call and a shared leadership role may apply.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Three years recent experience in Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Registered Nurse licensed in California; RCIS eligibility within two years.
• Interventional radiology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist radiologist and cardiologist during interventional procedures.
• Monitor hemodynamic data, ECG, and angiographic data; report changes promptly.
• Maintain sterile technique; prepare equipment and assist with equipment management.
• Perform pre-, intra-, and post-procedure assessments; support physician and staff.
• Provide safe environment and monitor moderate sedation during procedures; manage medications with physician.
