Job summary

The University of Miami UHealth Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Interventional Radiology Department in Miami. The RN will assess patients, coordinate care, document nursing plans, monitor vital signs, administer medications, and collaborate with physicians to optimize outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN, FL RN license, BLS/ACLS, with at least 2 years of relevant experience; PALS, sedation, and IV certs are a plus.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• Current/valid FL RN license required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• PALS preferred but must be obtained within 3 months of hire.
• Moderate Sedation and IV certifications preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Assesses assigned patients and evaluates plans; documents nursing care.
• Reports symptoms and changes in patients’ condition and vital signs.
• Modifies patient treatment plans as indicated by patient responses and physician orders.
• Reviews and reports diagnostic tests to assess patient condition.
• Consults with physicians and other healthcare professionals to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care.
• Prepares patients for examinations, procedures and treatments.
• Maintains patient records and ensures HIPAA compliance.
