Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse to coordinate nursing care, provide patient/family education, and manage transitions of care. The RN will lead within the Nursing Professional Practice Model and may participate on committees or projects.

State RN licensure, BLS and ACLS are required, with additional certifications as needed. The role offers full-time hours, on-site work, and a comprehensive benefits package including retirement plans and pre-tax savings.

Qualifications

Graduate of a nursing program.
One year RN experience in an applicable care setting or one year of LPN experience at Mayo Clinic is preferred.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
Experience working in a team environment. Computer skills required, prior EMR experience preferred.
Ability to work flexible hours including days, evenings, nights, holidays, weekends and on-call.
Current RN license by applicable state requirements; BLS and ACLS competency.
Additional state licensure or specialty certification as required.

Responsibilities

Coordinate nursing care, including direct patient care, education and transitions of care.
Support nursing practice within Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model; lead and participate in quality improvement.
Delegate patient care based on skill level, acuity, resources, and availability.
Possibly drive personal vehicle as part of the role.
