Job summary

Aurora Health Care is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Interventional Radiology (IR) team at Mount Pleasant. You will provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment, collaborating closely with physicians and technologists to deliver minimally invasive treatments.

The ideal candidate has a solid nursing foundation, ICU/ED exposure is a plus, and a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development within the IR specialty.

Qualifications

• Typically requires 1 year of experience in clinical nursing.
• Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to assess the needs of the patient, plan and implement individualized interventions and evaluate the effectiveness of the plan of care.
• Anticipates and recognizes significant changes in the patient’s condition and adjusts the plan of care accordingly.
• Implements strategies to reduce patient risk and increase patient safety, and educates patients and families as needed.
• Coordinates discharge planning with an interdisciplinary team and applies evidence-based practices.
• Promotes safety culture and reports patient safety events and near misses.
• Demonstrates effective communication and leadership within the care team and delegates to unlicensed staff as appropriate.
• Participates in ongoing quality/process improvement initiatives and professional development.
