Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for interventional radiology procedures, including initial assessment and pre-procedure education.
• Assist physicians and radiology staff during procedures, ensuring sterile technique and proper equipment use.
• Monitor patient status throughout procedures, including vital signs and sedation levels.
• Administer medications as ordered and respond promptly to changes in patient condition.
• Provide post-procedure care, monitoring recovery and educating patients and families on aftercare instructions.
• Document all aspects of patient care accurately and timely in accordance with facility policies.
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory and safety standards relevant to interventional radiology nursing.
