Job summary

Crouse Medical Practice in Syracuse, NY seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join Interventional Radiology. You will provide comprehensive patient care before, during, and after image-guided procedures, including histories, exams, and procedural support.

Responsibilities include evaluating labs and imaging, documenting notes, and performing procedures such as thoracentesis, paracentesis, and line placements. Must have NYS NP/PA cert and BLS, with 3+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• Current NY State certification/registration as a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant.
• Demonstrated ability to remain calm and effective in emergency situations and establish a leadership role.
• Demonstrated knowledge of health promotion, health risk identification, and patient education principles and techniques.

• Under physician's supervision, the NP/PA manages specialized, patient-centered care before, during, and after image-guided medical procedures.
• Takes medical histories, conducts exams, evaluates labs and imaging, writes clinical notes, and performs defined procedures.

Position Description

Under physician's supervision, the NP/PA is responsible for managing specialized, patient-centered care before, during, and after image-guided medical procedures. The NP/PA will provide a broad range of medical services, including taking medical histories, conducting physical examinations, evaluating lab results, imaging studies, and clinical notes, and performing clinical procedures such as thoracentesis, paracentesis, line placements and biopsy site care.

Requirements

• Education/Certification/Licensure
  • Current NY State certification/registration as a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant.
  • Current Basic Life Support Certification.
  • Demonstrated ability to remain calm and effective in emergency situations and establish a leadership role in an emergency.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current and emerging trends in technologies, techniques, issues and approaches in area of expertise.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain quality, safety and/or infection control standards.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of health promotion, health risk identification, and patient education principles and techniques.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant.

Pay Range: $110,000.00 to $150,000.00, based on experience
