AdventHealth in Hendersonville, NC is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team. Responsibilities include clinical intake, patient preparation, testing and documentation in the practice system, while upholding confidentiality and safety standards.

The role supports staff teamwork and patient care across visits. The ideal candidate has a High School Graduate or Equivalent, CPR/BLS and CMA/CMAC or related certification; medical office experience is preferred, with strong communication

Responsibilities

• Assists with clinical intake including screenings, vital signs and medication reconciliation.
• Prepares patients and equipment for treatment and documents results in the practice system.
• Performs minor procedures and ensures accurate documentation at time of service or results.
• Maintains inventory and ensures medical equipment is functioning.
• Educates patients regarding tests, medications and diet with clear, accurate instructions.
• Maintains confidentiality of employees' and patients' information.
• Supports staff teamwork by assisting patients, visitors, and coworkers as needed.
