The successful candidate will hold an MD/DO, completed IR fellowship per SIR/ACR standards, ABR board certification, and Georgia licensure, and will report to the Medical Director of Interventional

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited diagnostic radiology residency.
• Interventional radiology fellowship in accordance with SIR/ACR standards.
• Board certification in Diagnostic Radiology and Interventional Radiology by the ABR, with ongoing certification.
• Licensed in the State of Georgia and active Piedmont Healthcare medical staff.

Responsibilities

• Proficiency in a wide spectrum of interventional procedures including vascular and endovascular interventions, embolization, oncologic interventions, biliary and genitourinary interventions, dialysis access, central venous catheter/port placement, thoracentesis/paracentesis, and lumbar puncture.
• Collaborate with referring physicians and other healthcare professionals to determine appropriate treatment plans.
• Provide patient consultations, explain procedures, and address questions or concerns.
• Monitor patients post-procedure and manage complications.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure safety and quality standards.
• Interpret other imaging studies when schedule permits; ensure services align with hospital scope and complexity of care.
• Collaborate to establish criteria for ordering nuclear medicine services and serve as liaison across departments.
• Participate in hospital committees on imaging, safety, credentialing, and compliance.
