Responsibilities

• Perform arterial, venous, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and musculoskeletal/spine procedures.

• Collaborate with medical staff, particularly surgery, OB/GYN, oncology, GI and pulmonology teams.
• Supervise and teach diagnostic residents from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine.
• Cultivate relationships with hospital partners, clinicians, employees, and patients.

Private Practice Interventional Radiologist in Springfield, Illinois

Central Illinois Radiological Associates (CIRA) is an independent, physician-owned private radiology group practice with 100+ physicians providing comprehensive medical imaging and interventional services to ambulatory facilities, clinics, and hospitals throughout Illinois and in Michigan. We are currently recruiting a fellowship-trained Interventional Radiologist to join our growing team. The position is based predominantly at HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Illinois. The position presents an opportunity to perform a broad spectrum of interventional procedures including arterial, venous, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and musculoskeletal/spine procedures. The growing interventional oncology side of the practice includes routine biopsy and vascular access procedures, TACE, and thermal ablation, with potential to offer Y-90 in the near future. Our interventional radiologists have cultivated close relationships with the medical staff, specifically surgery, OB/GYN, oncology, GI and pulmonology. The position presents opportunities for faculty appointment as well as supervising and teaching diagnostic residents with Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. In addition, we are looking for candidates who have strong interpersonal and communication skills to cultivate relationships with our hospital partners, clinicians, employees and patients.
