Job description

Midwest Institute for Non-Surgical Therapy (St. Louis) is seeking a highly motivated interventional radiologist to join our growing outpatient vascular and image-guided therapy practice in the St. Louis area.

This is a unique opportunity for an IR physician who wants a high-volume, procedure-focused practice with a strong mix of complex peripheral arterial disease, limb salvage, venous disease, dialysis access, and advanced embolization therapies.

We are looking for an interventional radiologist with strong endovascular skills and a desire to build a long-term outpatient practice. New graduates are welcome to apply if they come from a strong interventional radiology training program with meaningful exposure to PAD, CLTI, embolization, and advanced image-guided interventions.

Position Highlights

This is a full-time employed position with significant income potential and long-term growth opportunity.

Compensation range: $550,000 to $900,000+ depending on productivity, experience, and case volume.

The role is designed for a physician who wants to be busy, procedural, clinically impactful, and part of a growing physician-led practice. The practice has an established outpatient infrastructure, experienced staff, vascular ultrasound support, referral relationships, and a growing platform for PAD, limb salvage, venous disease, dialysis access, and embolization procedures.

Clinical Focus

The physician should have interest or experience in a broad range of outpatient interventional radiology procedures, including:

  • Complex PAD and CLTI intervention
  • Limb salvage
  • Tibial and pedal interventions
  • SFA, popliteal, tibial, and pedal disease
  • Atherectomy, angioplasty, stenting, IVUS, and advanced endovascular techniques
  • Pedal access and alternative access strategies
  • Venous insufficiency treatment
  • Iliac and deep venous interventions
  • Dialysis access interventions
  • Prostate artery embolization
  • Uterine fibroid embolization
  • Genicular artery embolization
  • Hemorrhoidal artery embolization
  • Pelvic congestion and gonadal vein embolization
  • Varicocele embolization
  • Other image-guided embolization therapies and minimally invasive procedures

Experience with complex PAD, CLTI, and embolization is strongly preferred, but the most important qualities are technical ability, judgment, work ethic, and a desire to grow a major outpatient IR practice.

Compensation and Benefits
  • Base compensation with productivity upside
  • Expected compensation range: $550,000 to $900,000+ depending on productivity, experience, and case volume
  • Full-time employed position
  • Productivity-based growth opportunity
  • Malpractice coverage
  • Health benefits
  • CME allowance
  • Paid time off
  • Partnership or long-term growth track may be considered for the right candidate

Candidates should be board eligible or board certified in interventional radiology and eligible for medical licensure in Missouri.

Ideal Candidate
  • Procedurally driven
  • Comfortable in an outpatient lab or ASC environment
  • Interested in PAD, CLTI, limb salvage, embolization, venous disease, and longitudinal vascular care
  • Able to work collaboratively with referring physicians, podiatrists, wound‑care providers, urologists, gynecologists, primary care physicians, nephrologists, and other specialists
  • Interested in practice growth, clinical excellence, and patient‑centered care
  • Comfortable participating in community outreach, referral development, and patient education
  • Motivated to help build a regional destination practice for outpatient IR, PAD, limb salvage, and embolization therapies
