Job summary

Hartford HealthCare’s St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport, CT is actively hiring an Interventional Radiologic Technologist to support a state-of-the-art Neuroendovascular suite and program.

The role involves operating digital imaging equipment and performing complex neuro and interventional procedures, positioning patients, and preparing contrast media. The technologist assists physicians in diagnosis and treatment and maintains a strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Radiography program.
• State of Connecticut Radiographer license.
• ARRT certification in Radiography.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Operates digital equipment and performs neuro and interventional procedures by positioning patients and preparing contrast media.
• Assists the physician in diagnosis and treatment of patients.
• Maintains thorough knowledge of anatomy and physiology while performing procedures.
• This is a 100% clinical role with potential mandatory call.

Education

Graduate from an accredited Radiography program

State of Connecticut Radiographer license

ARRT certification in Radiography

Summary

The Interventional Radiologic Technologist operates digital equipment and performs complex Neuro and Interventional invasive procedures by positioning patients and preparing contrast media for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Assists the physician in diagnosis and treatment of patients. Comprehensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Works with chemotherapy agents, cements, and embolization agents. This position is 100% clinical and may require mandatory call as needed.
