Job Description - Interventional Rad Tech, Per Diem, Chestnut Hill (260457)
The Radiologic Technologist is a vital member of a multi-disciplinary team consisting of Physicians, Physician Assistants, Technologists and Nurses who each bring expertise to patient care. The Radiologic Technologist performs radiographic procedures, producing images for interpretation by or at the request of a licensed independent practitioner. Radiographers must demonstrate an understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology. They must maintain accuracy in radiographic positioning and exposure technique, knowledge of radiation protection and safety, and competency in preparing, administering and documenting activities related to contrast media and medications in accordance with state and federal regulations or institutional policy. They deliver quality care, communicate effectively with patients, and exercise professional and ethical judgment, critical thinking, and lifelong learning through continuing education.
