Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic and interventional procedures, including angiography and related studies. The role emphasizes patient care, protocol adherence, and safety across adolescent to geriatric populations.

Graduates of AMA/JRCERT accredited programs who are ARDMS/ARRT registered and BCLS certified are encouraged to apply. This is a full-time, on-site position in Georgia with Piedmont’s renowned radiology team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.
• No experience required.
• Must be ARDMS or ARRT registered and BCLS certified upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competence in interventional radiology procedures across age groups and positions patients.
• Maintains competencies for all related imaging components.
• Follows established imaging protocols for exams being performed.
• Provides age-appropriate patient education and communication.
• Adheres to Radiation Safety Policies and dose reduction principles.
• Ensures accurate record keeping and patient care documentation.

Responsibilities:

Performs diagnostic and interventional procedures to include but not limited to: angiography, venography, myelography, nephro-ureteral, and gastrointestinal studies, and modality assisted drainage and biopsies. Completes all post processing functions. Performs related record keeping and patient care functions. Ensures the utilization of established protocols and techniques differentiating for adolescent, adult and geriatric patient population in the performance of diagnostic procedures and functions.

• Demonstrates competence and proficiency in performing all interventional radiology procedures on patients of all age groups. Positions patient, selects the correct protocol, and utilizes all required equipment.
• Maintains competencies for all related components.
• Accurately follows all established imaging protocols for exam being performed.
• Provides quality age specific care in accordance with prescribed standards and practices.
• Adhere to the Radiation Safety Policies and the principles of a viable dose reduction program.
• Provides patient education and communications in accordance with prescribed standards.
• Must be competent and proficient to position, select correct protocol and utilize imaging equipment on patients of all age groups for radiological exams, when requested.
